The training facilities at Brookpark Business Centre, Dunmanway are proving a big hit, with trainers and clients alike, since the centre opened for business in May this year. The training rooms are state-of-the-art with a flexible layout, making them suitable for a whole range of courses and seminars. And of course the location, at the very centre of West Cork, makes it a convenient location for all attendees.
Facilities at Brookpark, which make it stand apart from rivals, include 1GB eir broadband and wifi throughout the building; modern IT support and visual aids; on-site catering facilities; ample parking and a disability friendly design with ground floor training rooms and lift to access the upper floors. Trainers can focus on their presentations rather than logistical problems.
During the Autumn/Winter months, Brookpark Business Centre will host training courses on topics such as first aid, manual handling, Haccp, food allergens, human resources and online banking, as well as a series of one-day seminars on effectively utilising social media platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter.
The committee will also be working closely with the Local Enterprise Office to extend course offerings in the Dunmanway area. To-date LEO has held email, marketing, online search engine maximisation and ‘Start your own Business’ Courses at Brookpark.
Christine Heffernan is the Business Adviser at Cork County Council’s Local Enterprise Office Cork North & West, Clonakilty office. “We have been using the Brookpark Business Centre with the past few months for our training courses and events. The facilities at the centre are excellent and the committee goes above and beyond to make sure everything is in order in advance of the event and on the day.
“For us the main advantages in using the centre include its central West Cork business location, excellent customer service, IGB broadband capability, fresh new training rooms with excellent facilities that are disability friendly and free parking. Also that nearby catering is available and brought to the centre.
“I can highly recommend Brookpark for any business-related events including: networking events, training workshops, information seminars and one to one meetings. We look forward to running many more events at the centre this coming Autumn and Winter.”
Another testimonial comes from Life and Business Coach Anna Healy, “I have arranged Employability West Cork courses in Brookpark and also attended a Network West Cork event there. I think it has amazing facilities; it has the potential to be the leading provider of business facilities in West Cork. Plus there is wonderful community involvement there. It brings creativity and opportunity to Dunmanway and West Cork.”
