Defibrillators in Kinsale

Having donated six defibrillators for public use in the Kinsale area, the members of Kinsale Lions Club continue to quietly work away at keeping them in good working order.mThis means checking them at intervals, and providing maintenance as required. Over €2000 has been spent in this way since the defibrillators were installed.

The potential life saving units are sited in prominent locations from Summercove to Compass Quay, and have been used on a number of occasions by persons in difficulty. The locations have been well publicised through the medical surgeries, pharmacies and accommodation providers. A convenient credit-card sized map of the locations is available through any member of Kinsale Lions Club.
