Urru Culinary Store’s annual ‘Season of Goodwill’ charity event this year is a Pre-Loved Kitchen Cupboard Sale on Thursday, December 8, 4pm- 8pm, Urru Culinary Store, Mc Swiney Quay, Bandon.

Event organiser, Ola Fudali believes that “One person’s trash is another person’s treasure or Christmas present”. She continues, “why not donate a couple of your unused or unwanted kitchen items; they can then find a new and useful home and it will help directly in supporting the invaluable work of 10 local charity and community groups.”

Donations should be in perfect condition and working order. Pre-loved kitchen items will be received up to Monday, December 5 in Urru Culinary Store. Any items that remain unsold after the sale will be distributed appropriately to families in the Bandon area in time for Christmas.

This is a great chance to head into the festive season with a less cluttered kitchen, while doing something generous for the local community.

Proceeds from the sale will be added to funds gathered across the year in the customer coin boxes in the shop, and that Urru matches, and it will all go directly and entirely to 10 Bandon and West Cork Charity and Community Groups. The funds will be presented to the groups during the ‘Mulled Hot Drinks Tasting’ at 4pm on Saturday, December 10 in Urru Culinary Store.

The groups are: Bandon Arts Festival, Bandon Hypobaric Chamber, Bandon Youth Reach, Bandon Family Support and Wellbeing, Bandon Special Olympics, Bandon Rosmini Centre, Bandon Men’s Shed, Bandon Tidy Towns and Bandon Christmas Lights, Down Syndrome Cork’s Field of Dreams.
