Kilmacsimon Swimming and Rowing Club celebrating 30 years of rowing

Kilmacsimon Swimming and Rowing Club are holding a “Head of the River” regatta on Sunday April 13th from 3 – 6pm from the boathouse at our new Community and Activity Centre. This will involve time trials in the following categories:-

World FISA boats – €5 per rower – Open men and ladies singles, doubles and quads

One design – €10 per rower – Open men & ladies; Pre vet men & ladies; Vet men &  ladies

Underage rowers – €5 per rower – U16 Boys and girls; U18 Boys and girls

Should boats be required for either event please contact the Club in advance.

An invitation is extended to all South West Clubs to attend and participate in what promises to be an enjoyable evening’s racing on the water.

A woodland walk will take place on the 22nd June at 7pm in Glengarriff Nature Reserve. This is a great opportunity to learn about woodlands, their plants and wildlife and is an opportunity not to be missed. Glengarriff Nature Reserve was designated as a Nature reserve in 1991, and covers over 300 acres in size. It is a beautiful and unique woodlands containing many different habitats and is owned and managed by NPWS primarily for conservation and amenity purposes.
