Innishvilla Soccer Club from Innishannon decided last year to change their direction for fundraising for the purpose of building new dressing rooms at the Jake O’Donoughue Park in memory of the late Jake.

The club contacted Brendan Grace and asked if he would be interested in coming to Innishannon House Hotel for a fundraising performance, which he promptly agreed to. The club sold out the tickets in record time and the night was a massive success, with a brilliant three-piece band playing as the opening act. Brendan played for over 90 minutes with no break and later posed with audience members for photos.

Just before Brendan went on stage, he also posed for a photo with Innishvilla chairman Noel Ryan and Jake’s mother Ann O’Donoughue, who presented Innishvilla club with a cheque for over €700, which she raised by running a full marathon last December in Clonakilty. Ann was presented with flowers onstage from the Innishvilla chairman for her help to the club, in memory of her late son.
