The Kilcoe Studio Calendar for 2014 features beautiful paintings of healing plants and herbs form the garden and the wild.

The inaugural calendar in 2012, started with images from the Brown Envelope Seeds vegetable garden collection.

After another succesful calendar in 2013 of the fruit and vegetable garden, artist Sonia Caldwell now aims to complete a new collection of images each year on a new theme. This year’s collection of healing herbs and plants includes Passion Flower, Comfrey, St. Johnswort and Calendula amongst others. With the assistance of herbalist Rosari Kingston, the calendar also contains interesting facts about the plants and their uses.

A set of greeting cards has also been printed of selected images from the fruit and vegetable images and can be seen at www.kilcoestudios.com.

The launch of the calendar also coincides with the launch of the Kilcoe Studios website, which, as well as featuring images from the calendars, and an on line shop, also features Eamon Quinn’s Fine Wood furniture and stone craft work also by Sonia.

See www.kilcoestudios.com for more information.

The calendar is also available to buy around West Cork at Organico, Future Forests, Manning’s Emporium, Hummingbird Gallery, Wish, Yin Yang, Old Mill Stores, An Tobairín, Ballydehob Post Office and Roaringwater Health Food Shop.
