Staff at Manning’s Emporium in Ballylickey are as busy as bees preparing for Christmas. It’s a lovely time when the seasonal goods start arriving and the shop transforms, as the shelves and fridges fill with Christmas produce. To mark the start of the festive season, Manning’s is hosting a Christmas food and wine tasting evening, from 5pm to 9pm on Thursday, December 5. It promises to be a great evening with a wide range of producers including Mella’s Fudge, Lorge Chocolate, Tom Lynch of El Commandante Wines,  Baking Emporium, Durrus Cheese, Jack McCarthy Hams and Black pudding, to name but a few.

This year Manning’s has an even wider range of Christmas hampers. The beautifully arranged gift bags, gift boxes and wicker hampers make a perfect present and tasty treat for food lovers everywhere. For convenience, there are hampers readymade in the shop, and also bespoke orders to suit individual needs. Just pop in or give Manning’s a call to let the staff know what you would like or give a budget so your hamper can be tailor-made. There is also a selection on the website that you can order online and Manning’s delivers nationwide and to the UK. www.manningsemporium.ie.
