The Lego Movie comes to Bandon…on a bike!

A fundraiser with a difference will be held on Friday, September 26 in Bandon Grammar School Sports Complex when The Lego Movie will be shown on a cinema screen entirely run by pedal power.

Organised by Bandonbridge Parents Association, a total of eight bikes will power the screen, with cyclists taking turns to keep the show on the road. Participants will be seeking sponsorship in the coming weeks, with all funds raised going to the Bandonbridge National School building fund.

Tickets available on the night with all welcome. The show starts at 7.30pm and popcorn and refreshments are available to purchase. Admission is €7 for an adult, €5 a child and €20 for a family of four (additional children €2.50 each).

A woodland walk will take place on the 22nd June at 7pm in Glengarriff Nature Reserve. This is a great opportunity to learn about woodlands, their plants and wildlife and is an opportunity not to be missed. Glengarriff Nature Reserve was designated as a Nature reserve in 1991, and covers over 300 acres in size. It is a beautiful and unique woodlands containing many different habitats and is owned and managed by NPWS primarily for conservation and amenity purposes.
