Annual lecture launches Bandon’s Engage Arts Festival

The Con Murphy Memorial lecture will take place on Saturday, September 13 at 8pm in the Munster Arms Hotel, Bandon . Judge Con Murphy was very interested in the arts and was especially supportive of the Engage Arts Festival in Bandon. This annual lecture, which will launch the festival, features Fergus Finlay as the main speaker. The theme of the lecture is: Best in the land? Delusions and the Irish Educational System.

Entry to this lecture is €10. Please come early to be assured of a seat.

Engage Arts Festival will take place over the last weekend in September. Featured artistes include Billy Foley (artist), Selina Guinness (writer), Irish Modern Dance Company, Vyvienne Long (‘cellist), Irish Baroque Orchestra, Rob Doyle (writer), Amanda Coogan (performance artist) and more.
